Simple tips to lose fat

Losing fat isn't as hard as people make it out to be. From my experience with working with many clients over the years it all comes down to personal will power. Many people will say they want to lose their fat yet when dinner time comes around you see them eating pizza with a side of fries. Losing weight doesn't work like that. You can't have your cake and lose weight too, well at least all the time.

Here are my top tips on losing body fat.

  • Cut the junk. meaning cut the junk food, beer soda, oily foods and most importantly snacks. These things aren't your friends and they may be holding you back. Don't be at the mercy of your sweet tooth, you are the master of your own cravings.

  • Avoid foods with sugar as they tend to spike our insulin levels which allows us to go into a fat storing phase.

  • Read the labels and weigh the pros and cons before you eat something. Many foods are marketed and sold as healthy but are far from it. Be wary.

  • Be active. This is one of the easier ones to do as it only involves you skipping the elevator for the stairs. Also you can come off a few stops before your usual bus stop and walk the rest of the way. Each step you take increases your daily calorie usage, so the more you move the more calories you burn. It will add up.

  • Plan your meals ahead of time so you won't be caught off guard. Having healthy prepped meals will make it easier for you to stick to your diet.

  • Eat out less. This is another easy one, eating out is fun and exciting but it's also hard to track your calories when you have no idea how your food is prepared. Do you know the amount of oils the chef used? All the ingredients he used? Eating out less allows you to better track your diet.

  • However eating out is mandatory for some of us and its a great way to build your social circle and to network. When you do eat out try to stick to a protein source and salads without the oily dressing.
There you have it guys. Remember being fit is a lifestyle and it all starts and ends with your habits. Form good habits that can enhance how your health and life.
